I have NO clue what happened to the original "GATEWAY=" entry, but it's
working now. Thanks.

Now I can move my computer to the basement office without ticking my wife
off ... it was her computer that was messed up and she had been using mine to
check email and surf.

I'm setting up a basement woodworking business and wanted to meet the 'regular
and exclusive' requirement the IRS has for deducting home office space.
Moreover, we want to minimize the intrusion of computers into the spare
bedroom so that we can set it up for our kids to visit. But I couldn't haul
my stuff out until hers was working.

Now to figure out how to get this stupid SHARP UX-B700 fax machine to work!
