Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Darl McBride were all killed in a plane
crash and ended up together facing St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
St. Peter looked at his computer and asked, "Bill, you did some bad
things with your company. Why should I let you into Heaven?"
Bill said, "I stopped working for the company, and have been putting
both my work and my money into my charitable foundation."
St. Peter thought for a moment, then clicked "OK" on his computer, and
the Pearly Gates opened and Bill went in. He turned to Steve and said,
"Steve, you did some bad things with your company. Why should I let you
into Heaven?"
Steve said, "I have raised chair-throwing to an art form, and I have
left a huge donation to the Olympics if they will accept it as an
Olympic event."
St. Peter thought for a moment, then clicked "OK" on his computer, and
the Pearly Gates opened and Steve went in. Finally he turned to Darl and
said, "Darl, you did some bad things with your company. Why should I let
you into Heaven?"
Darl said, "I have conclusively proved that Linux is nothing but a copy
of Unix!"
Without a moment's hesitation, St. Peter clicked "NO" on his Linux
computer and sent Darl straight to Hell.
