Linux Network Administration.
STUDENTS, PARENTS, & FACULTY "LEND ME YOUR EARS"
The Florida Linux Show 2008 is proud to welcome national and international
speakers Jon "Maddog" Hall and Robin "Roblimo" Miller to the stage. Jon
"Maddog" Hall is one of the for most experts in the field of Linux and is in
charge of li.org or LinuxInternational.org. Robin "Roblimo" Miller is the
Editor and Chief of SourceForge.net. Both of these gentlemen's names will
be mentioned in the Linux realm for years to come and are icons in their own
right today, second only to the person who developed Linux - Linus Torvalds.
SHOW ME THE MONEY!
The Florida Linux Show 2008 has invited a number of local, national, and
even international companies who are willing to discuss careers with
students who will one day intern and work full-time in a job that they love
and a career where there's hardly a dull moment. If your students want to
work in clean, safe, air conditioned, non-smoking, healthy work environment,
a career as a Linux Administrator is the way to go. Most technical fields
with a two or four year degree do not offer the pay, respect, and
flexibility that a career in Linux Administration offers.
LOCAL LINUX SUPPORT
The up side to Linux is it's free and people enjoy working in this computer
environment will be at this show. Linux is also GREEN, it runs cooler and
puts out less CO2 emissions than Windows Operating Systems. Linux also
integrates with Microsoft networks making it far less expensive to maintain.
In closing, we are also donating $1.00 for every paid admission of $10.00
your student will receive free admission to show and we encourage them to
participate in donating any thing they can afford to the Children's Miracle
Network.
