This short article actually hearkens back to the earlier discussion of
the Novell CTO's blog post, where I stated that the relationship between
IBM and the open source community is similar to that of Novell to the
open source community. Also, this groklaw article was fun to read. Of
course.
McBride and Ballmer should go drinking together and get struck by
lightning. It'd save us all a lot of aggravation -- and probably their
respective employers, as well. The major record labels are smart enough
to farm out activities likely to make them look like utter turds to the
general population, having the RIAA do their dirty work and harpy-like
screeching. Why aren't Microsoft and SCO as canny about their
respective public images?
