I know of two instances of M$ involvement...
1) M$ orchestrated the Baystar/RBC stock deal, which generated a hefty cash
boost for tSCOg.
2) M$ also purchased a UNIX license from tSCOg, adding another lump of cash to
the coffers.
There may be more, but I haven't followed the case all that closely.
