I'm not sure that's the case entirely.....although certainly the
majority have no idea it's possible....

I think it's more that people have a certain level of laziness on things
like this and if they can just fill out a form and have this happen
without any further effort, that's what they'll go for....

Look at Linux desktop for example....the community seems toagree that
the reson people haven't relly switched wholesale is because they can't
simply pop a disk in and be done with it...everything works....:)

So tinker-ers, builders, innovators and those into self-abuse aside, it
seems IBM has identifeid a "need" and has moved to fill it.

So is IBM going to profit from ignorance, laziness, or both?...:)
