Yeah, exactly...I think IBM scores a huge hit here...very impressive.

And they get to keep a nearly 20% of stock in the new venture when they
begin to sell those PC's in China....it'll be interesting to watch IBM's
stock over the next week or two as it sinks in what they've done...

I'm still curious as to where they are headed though...:) Especially
with the seeming embrace of open source...and a big wad of cash....

If I was an exec at M$ I'd not be to happy about this news...LOL

It seems as though slowly things are stacking up against M$.

SUN/IBM/Java crowd/*nixes crowds/OSS vs. M$

M$ seems to be spread a bit thin too...

Actually if I was at M$, I'd be studying with great interest the moves
IBM made in surviving the M$ onslaught in the early 90's...It seems as
though it was completed when M$ finally released a 32-bit OS to bury OS/2...

Bah, I'm rambling again....:)
