I've never had any problems with EXT3, either.

 From what I understand of the problem, ReiserFS is slightly more stable
than EXT3, but if ReiserFS takes a dump it's almost impossible to
recover your data. I've also run across information to the effect that
Oracle isn't compatible with ReiserFS (because Oracle reads and writes
directly at the block level, and ReiserFS doesn't), though I'm not sure
that's relevant to this discussion.

Apparently, each of these journalling filesystems has its advantages,
but people get nervous about the idea that they can't recover data if
the filesysm "crashes".
