[flalug] Verizon customer blocking evidently handled

Beginning in June of this year, the telecommunications provider, Verizon
Corporation put the word Flalug on a spam blacklist. Any mail sent to flalug
subscribers who were verizon customers bounced to me, the list administrator.
I had repeatedly complained to Verizon customer service to no avail. This
month I contacted Verizon corporate headquarters in New York City and after
two weeks of very "spirited" dialogue with a manager for customer service
there, flalug was finally removed from their blacklist. I do not have all
the facts how it got on their blacklist, but it seems to be a case of
incorrigible foolishness on the part of someone in their security department.
So for those subscribers who are also Verizon customers, this may be the first
or second message to the list you have seen in a long time, or at all.
You would not believe the time I put into getting those folks to wake up.
It was incredible. Perhaps I should write a short story for Slashdot.
A Happy New Year to you all!
Best regards,
Smitty
