search for a 6 month contract for one of our local clients. They are
looking for a Redhat/Linux Admin:
Highly proficient in scripting; perl, sh, bash, and csh. (knowledge of,
and proficiency in threads.pm would be helpful)
* Familiar with system imager
* Familiar with Kickstart
* Familiar with Anaconda
* Proficient in RPM package creation
* Familiar with ppp configuration
* Familiar with iptables filter configuration and logic.
* Familiar with ntpd configuration.
* Able to correctly produce Sys V init scripts (with
/etc/init.d/functions a plus)
* Ability to troubleshoot
* Familiarity with logrotate; syslog; nfsd; automount; nis; sshd
* Solaris knowledge is highly desirable, and will place a
candidate above others
* Ability to work in a multifunctional team environment
* Ability to work 24/7 on call support, on a rotating basis
* Responsible for scheduled events, ie. lab inspection,
monitoring, maintenance
* Must be able to access business situations and take
appropriate actions, ie. escalation to UNIX management
