I assume that you are looking for Linux based software? I haven't seen
anything for Linux that is truly user-friendly.
If you can tolerate Windows, DesignCAD 7 is great for that kind of work. If
you can still find it, version 7 that was written for Win 3.x is the simplest
one to learn, and the best version that I have seen. When ViaGraphics took
over, they did a complete rewrite and released version 8 for Win9x, which I
feel was a vastly inferior product because they tried to make it into an
AutoCad clone.
