This is the only time that I know of that a LINUX computer must be rebooted,
(other than seeing how it will look when we reboot, after changes)
Although I have received arguments over this.
You need to pass to the kernel " hdc=ide-scsi " overtime you boot, so you
need to add it to /etc/lilo.conf.lba32 (what it is in Slackware).
And in rc.modules uncomment /sbin/modprobe ide-scsi
