It depends how you define "second". Primary partitions get 1-4. logical
partitions get 5-16. Pri. slv. = hdb, sec. mast. = hdc. So it'd be
either /dev/hdb8 or /dev/hdc8 depending on how you define "second".
There's no way it could be hda-anything. That's by any definition the
_first_ IDE drive.
