facilities for the following positions:
C/C++/Perl Programmer/ Linux Distribution Maintainer/ General Linux Guru
Selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining a
custom Linux distribution. Candidates must be familiar with the inner
workings of Linux-based operating systems, including modifying large
open source projects (e.g. Mozilla or Xfree86), preferably with prior
experience patching the Linux kernel, writing device drivers and
interfaces, and writing console and GUI applications (GTK 1.2 and GTK2
preferred). Skills required: Strong working knowledge of C/C++,
relational databases, device drivers (primarily for video cards and
serial and USB peripherals), and client-server applications. Experience
with Mozilla/DOM, GTK and XML recommended. Experience with Perl and web
applications a plus. Bachelor?s degree in computer science/engineering or
equivalent experience required.
