Sure, the manpage says that it is a part of the hylafax package so it may be
something you can get from their site. Take a look at the hylafax script in
/etc/rc.d/ and see if it has a line for starting faxgetty in the start
section. Also do man faxgetty and see if it describes its use etc.

It looks like not only is faxgetty not running, but it doesn't exist on
that machine. It also, for some reason, doesn't seem to be on the CDs.
One would think that all of the necessary software for a particular
service would be included in a distro that includes that service. Bah.

I shall have to see where I can find faxgetty online, then. Thanks for
