I use SuSE 9.0 Prof. on my laptop now, but due to poor compatability with the touchpad, I'm going to something else...probably RH 9.0 or Enterprise Linux WS 3.0. It works with all of my hardware.

Tired SuSe 9 yet? It really rocks. I use it for one of my beowulf servers (master node) and I haven't had any problems with it. W/ 9 and Reiserfs... the system nearly screams.

        Is this your testimonial, Dave?

"Congratulations on another fine release of Xandros Desktop 2.0. You've hit
another home run! During the beta process I was amazed at the quality of the
releases and the relatively few bugs that I found which seemed to be fixed
        with each new beta release.

I was, of course, impressed with many things about the product. But the thing
that impressed me the most was the ease of burning CD's. Not only did the
drag and drop work perfectly, but it worked the first time. Additionally, the
integration with CrossOver Office was flawless. OfficeXP installed without
        any hang-ups or errors.

What makes this product so attractive is the ease at which Windows users can
make the switch to Linux, and have all the features that they come to enjoy
from Windows. Additionally, the Debian kernel stability gives Xandros the
reliability that is so needed in today's computing environment.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this beta process.

        With Warmest Regards, David M"
