Hello,
my name is George Breahna and presently I am an engineering student at
Montreal's Politechnic school. Part-time, I am also an open-source
consultant for software such as Linux, FreeBSD, etc. Since the beginning the
most difficult obstacle I met was the lack of visibility for people offering
support for such applications. There are solutions, such as E-Lance but
these web-sites cost close to 1000$ per year per listed category. With this
in mind, I have created Consultants Headquarters ( http://www.conhq.com ) .
The goal of this web-site is to allow people, like myself that know open
source software at a commercial level to offer their services in an
organized manner where they have more chance for visibility. The service
comes free of charge and the entire web-site is ad-free. I consider that I
have gained a lot from open-source and I want to do something to help the
community myself. If you feel that this service could be of use to your
members, do not hesitate to let them know in one of your internal
communications or via a link on your web-site.
Thank you for your time,
George Breahna
