Currently I run a beowulf cluster at home (for game design and grid research
purposes), so I use an assortment of dists including Slackware 9, Scyld, and
RH 9. If you are doing heavy beowulf-like jobs, I recommend using Slackware
or Scyld. For basic desktop/server apps, RH. For those more into recompiling
the kernel and making/editing modules on the fly, Slackware. Over the years
Slackware has gotten to be very robust and alot more easier to manupulate
than most other distros.
